For Spring 2012 session- 6 classes, the theme is: "It's a Jungle Out There"! (Just sign up through the City of Corona =D)
Our theme for this session is: "Under the Sea". The drawing class is on their second big project, Japanese Kimonos (inspired by Mindy Cherri's art lesson - BIG thanks!) The drawing students are working with the Elements of Art to create lines and patterns for the sleeves and neck line. Some students are trying to decide if they want the same pattern for the obi (the kimono's belt) - art forces an artist to practice critical decisions to express yourself. I totally enjoy the freedom of youth! IT INSPIRES ME!
Our first project, "Sea Creatures" using pastels. It was be a bit messy, but it was embraced with joy! Even some of the parents created their own pastel masterpiece of fun!!
I have some parents asking if I teach adult classes. I am sorry, I don't. I am positive the Corona Art Association (CAA) has some adult classes.
CAA just moved to the Corona Mall (next to Shogun and across from the Corona Public Library), for now - called "The Spot".... CAA and I are talking about me teaching classes at their location. Hoping it works out for both parties. I'll keep you posted! There are classes for school age students also...
